Topic: “There’s room for everyone at the table — How technical professionals fit into an Agile Culture”, by Matt Phillips, Agile Transformation Coach, Bandwidth, Inc.

November 3, 2022 @ 6:15 PM - 8:00 PM

I would like to invite ENCS members & their guests to attend this hybrid meeting “There’s room for everyone at the table — How technical professionals fit into an Agile Culture”, by Matt Phillips, Agile Transformation Coach at Bandwidth, Inc. == Description == As organizations begin working in more agile ways, it is fairly common for some role confusion to creep into the system. Just because our ways of working shift, it does not mean people are replaced or rendered obsolete. There is also a great deal of conflation and confusion around agility and various workflow frameworks (e.g. Scrum and Kanban). In this session we will explore what it means to work in an Agile way (Hint: It’s more than a process play). We will also address team structures, shifting roles and role confusion, and how various frameworks help teams become Agile. Participants will leave the session with an understanding of what it means to work in an Agile way and how technical professionals fit into these systems. Everyone has a seat at the table and, more importantly, they play a key role in the pursuit of business agility.
