Scorekeepers and Timekeepers with less than three years of experience in these roles, or who need to review the rules and procedures, are also strongly encouraged to attend the training. We will have new timekeeping equipment this year, so please keep that in mind when deciding if you will make the effort to attend training. Well prepared volunteers are crucial to the success of the competition!! An e-mail reminder about the training will be sent to volunteers in early January.

The Tennessee Science Bowl is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Pellissippi State Community College, ORAU, ORISE, and many other companies and organizations. The competition is designed to motivate high school students to excel in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM fields) and to pursue careers in these fields. The winning team will represent Tennessee at the DOE National Science Bowl in Washington, DC, on April 27-May 1, 2017.
