Michael A. Mayor is a Consulting Scientist (CS) providing Systems Engineering Services to the Aerospace and Defense Industries in the areas of Secure Information Systems and Secure Communication Networks.

Formerly, he was Vice President / Chief Scientist, Advanced Technology Research, in the Aerospace / Communications Division of ITT Defense Electronics. In this capacity, he conducted Research and Directed the development of a wide range of Terrestrial and Airborne Secure Wireless Communications Networks, Emitter Geolocation Systems and their Subsystems. These included: Radio Frequency Transceivers, Software Defined and Cognitive Radio Systems, Digital Receivers and Digital Signal Processing algorithms. These developments extended to the application of Digital Instrumentation to System Test and Validation.

He authored six patents in Spread Spectrum Communications and Digital Instrumentation. He received the ITT Defense & Electronics Engineered for Life Award, for his technical contributions in Communications, Geolocation and Microelectronics areas.

He is a Life Senior Member of the IEEE. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) in Systems Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Pennsylvania. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of VA, a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) and a member of the NSPE Executive Board of Professional Engineers in Industry Community

Dr. Jim Anderson received his PhD in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton. He then went on an earned an MBA from The University Of Texas, Dallas. He has published over 125 books including CRC Press’s “Software Defined Networking”. Jim has worked for 16 different companies during his 33-year career including startups as well as Boeing, Siemens, Alcatel, Verizon, AAA, and Amgen. He has had opportunities to teach at Florida Atlantic University, The University of South Florida, and Florida Polytechnic University. Despite his busy work schedule, Jim has been able to publish 5 papers and has been an invited speaker 8 times. Jim has been an active member of the IEEE for over 30 years and has held numerous leadership positions at both the local and regional level. Jim has been a member of Toastmasters for 22 years. He manages 5 highly successful blogs and is the owner of LinkedIn’s most successful product management user group.
