Hussein Abdeltawab SM-IEEE, Ph.D.
Chapter Chair
Dr. Abdeltawab earned his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Alberta in Canada. He has previously worked as a design engineer with various Canadian energy consulting firms and is currently a licensed Professional Engineer in Canada. In 2020, he joined Penn State as an Assistant Professor and is now an assistant professor of engineering at Wake Forest University. Dr. Abdeltawab is a senior member of the IEEE and an Associate Editor of the IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution Journal.
William Crowe M-IEEE, Ph.D.
Chapter Treasurer
Dr. Crowe is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Wake Forest University’s Engineering Department. He has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Wake Forest School of Medicine. Dr. Crowe is a skilled problem solver with experience in a variety of fields, including medical, industrial, and mechanical. He has a strong interest in many areas, such as Additive Manufacturing, Automotive, Biomechanical, Biomedical, Education, Aviation, Nanotechnology, Medical Devices, and Mechanical Engineering.
David Griffith LM-IEEE, Ph.D.
Chapter Secretary
Dr. Griffith retired as a Master Scientist from Reynolds American. Prior to that, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine, now known as the WFU Medical School. He is a Life Senior member of IEEE and currently serves as the section secretary and chair of the Life Member Affinity Group. Within IEEE, he is a member of EMBS and MOVE. His professional interests include medical imaging, computational fluid dynamics, high-performance computing, and combustion chemistry. In his free time, he enjoys ham radio and flying. Dr. Griffith holds a BSEE degree from NCSU and a PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology from WFU.

Chandra Jaiswal holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering, an MBA, and is currently pursuing a PhD in AI and Data Science at NCAT Greensboro, USA. He has 15 years of experience in supply chain management. A seasoned Distribution System Analyst, Chandra excels in integrating technologies like AI, Computer Vision, and Robotics to optimize supply chain operations. His work demonstrates a solid commitment to modernizing supply chains, positioning him as an innovator. Chandra’s leadership and expertise have significantly contributed to operational efficiency and technology adoption in supply chain management.
