Lee Holland graduated from Western Carolina with a B.S. in electrical engineering degree and a M.S. Technology. He has worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific for >10 years working in the Controlled Temperature Technologies division. As an Electrical / Reliability Technician Lee has performed Electrical design verification and validation for Ultra Low Freezers, lab freezers / refrigerators, and Cryo controlled rate freezers and Cryo Storage freezers. Also performed extensive reliability testing by designing and setting up fixtures with Labview programs.
In the past year has volunteered with First Lego League and is planning on assisting at the 2026 Makerfaire with IEEE.

Charles LordCharles Lord, PE, HKN is a consultant, professional trainer, and speaker in embedded systems development. Through his company, Blue Ridge Advanced Design and Automation, he provides both live and web-based training. As a long-term IEEE volunteer, he has served as chair of the Eastern NC Section as well as the NC Council and has served on numerous IEEE committees including Region 3 Leadership Development and the MGA Center for Leadership Development.
