Drone Swarm Presentation Is A Success!

On Thursday, 3/27/25, Zachary Hinnen from USF presented “Drone Swarms: If One Is Good, Then How About A Whole Bunch?” This online presentation was well attended.

Zach shared with us how lessons that have been learned from nature, birds, fish, bees, and ants, have lead to novel approaches in creating swarms of drones that can work together with little or no human involvement. He shared with us what the future may look like: drones locating and fighting forest fires, drones mapping the sea floor, etc.
