IEEE Florida West Coast Section (FWCS), The FWCS Computer Society, and The FWCS Senior Member Committee invite all interested members to learn about Hillsborough Community College’s (HCC) Computer Science department and a new opportunity to join the department’s new Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT).

IEEE FWCS Senior Member Mubarak Banisakher is a professor in the Computer Science department at HCC. Mubarak is the principal investigator for a grant from a National Science Foundation, which is providing the funding for development of a new associate of science degree plan and a college certificate program in cloud computing for the college.

To support the new programs, HCC is launching a Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT) with regional business and industry experts to align the new curriculum to industry needs and ensure students are prepared for careers in cloud computing.

IEEE FWCS members are invited to attend an orientation meeting to learn more about HCC’s initiative to grow its modern technology curriculum and expand opportunities for students.
