The IEEE Huntsville Section, which is part of the world’s leading professional organization for the advancement of technology. The section has more than 1200 members living in Huntsville and Northern Alabama, and includes six technical societies, three student branches, and an affinity group for young professionals. The IEEE Huntsville Section hosts and supports many technical and educational activities in North Alabama. By becoming part of the IEEE network in Huntsville, you can expand your technical knowledge, develop strong peer-to-peer connections, and hone your leadership skills. Technical Societies

The six technical societies that the IEEE Huntsville Section includes are Aerospace Electronics and Systems Society (AESS), Computer Society (CS), Joint Robotics & Automation – Control Systems Society (JRACS), Electromagnetic Compatibility Society (EMC), Technical and Engineering Management Society (TEMS), and Joint Communications, AP, and MTT Society (JCAM).

Student Branches

The IEEE Student Branches work on technical projects, host lectures, volunteer, and host several social events. The student branches include Alabama A&M University, University of Alabama in Huntsville, and University of North Alabama.

Affinity Groups

The Young Professionals affinity group is a non-technical subunit of the Section.
