Postponed from January Team NC! This is our normal annual training day and NC Council meeting that is normally held at the first of the year, postponed this year due to our work on IEEE SoutheastCon 2025. We will meeting at the EPIC center (EE Dept) of UNC Charlotte on Saturday May 17 from 10-4 in the second floor meeting room (same as last many years). We will cover many topics also covered at SoutheastCon as well as pressing matters for your individual section. The agenda is TBA but will cover mutual support for our new officers now that we have some volunteers in all five sections as well as a discussion on best practices from our more active sections and sharing ideas and what things we can do together (STEM, public events, shared resources, etc). Our event will cover a working lunch as a meeting of the NC Council, the organization that was formed to support our five sections in whatever needs the sections have. We want to do some planning and talk about new officers to drive the council forward. It is critical that all sections send their chair or a representative as they are a member of the Council executive committee. There is no cost to the sections except the travel to the meeting itself. The lunch and refreshments, etc will be provided by the Council. Hope to see you there! Agenda: 10AM Call to Order IEEE 101 - Jim Conrad Topics TBA SoutheastCon 2025 Report Noon(ish) Lunch - NC Council Meeting 1PM Brainstorm - section and council activities planning Topics TBA 4PM Adjourn and optional UNCC EPIC lab tour Room: Second Floor Meeting Room (at Rotunda), Bldg: Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC), 8700 Phillips Rd, Charlotte, NC 28223, Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, 28223 |
