All WNC Section members and their families are invited to attend the 1st Annual Summer Picnic on Saturday, September 21st, at Lake Julian Park in Asheville from 11 am to 2 pm. Join us at Picnic Shelter #3, right on the lake, just past the boat docks, for a great BBQ/Picnic Lunch and the opportunity to socialize and have fun with fellow IEEE members and their families.
THE FOOD
Food will be served between 11:30 and 12:30 pm. All the essentials will be provided, including BBQ meats, rolls, plates, cups, napkins, and utensils. Members should bring a ready-to-serve side dish to share, their own soft drinks (bottled water will be provided), and a lawn/folding chair. You are welcome to bring extra lawn/folding chairs or folding tables if you have them.
Please note that alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the park.

THE FUN
Lake Julian Park offers disc golf, outdoor games, a playground, paddle boats, and water access along a picturesque 300-acre public lake. A sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits are available for use on a first-come basis. Volleyballs and horseshoes can be checked out at no charge with proof of a driver’s license. An 18-basket disc golf course is located throughout the perimeter of the park. Feel free to bring any yard games (cornhole, bean bag toss, ring toss, tug-of-war, etc.) you may have on hand.
