SAVE THE DATEIEEE WNC Section1st Annual Summer PicnicLake Julian ParkSaturday, September 21, 2024 11am – 2 pmAll WNC Section members and their families are invited to attend the 1st Annual Summer Picnic.Which will be held on Saturday, September 21, at Lake Julian Park in Asheville from 11 am to 2 pm.Join us at Picnic Shelter #3, right on the lake, just past the boat docks, for a great picnic lunchand the opportunity to socialize and have fun with fellow IEEE members and their families.THE FOODFood will be served about 12 noon. All the essentials will be provided, including BBQ pork, chicken and Brisket, rolls, plates, cups, napkins, utensils, and bottled water. Members should bring their own soft drinks (alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the park), a ready-to-serve side dish to share, and folding chairs.THE FUNLake Julian Park offers outdoor games, a playground, paddle-boat rentals and water access along a picturesque 300-acre public lake. Horseshoe pits are available for use on a first-come basis. Volleyballs and horseshoes can be checked out at no charge with proof of a driver’s license. An 18-basket disc golf course is located throughout the perimeter of the park.
