Save the Date – Annual Picnic – September 21

Bldg: Shelter #3, 37 Lake Julian Park Rd., Arden, North Carolina, United States, 28704

All WNC Section members and their families are invited to attend the 1st Annual Summer Picnic, which will be held on Saturday, September 21st, at Lake Julian Park in Asheville from 11 am to 2 pm. Join us at Picnic Shelter #3, right on the lake, just past the boat docks, for a great picnic lunch and the opportunity to socialize and have fun with fellow IEEE members and their families. THE FOOD Food will be served between 12 noon and 1 pm. All the essentials will be provided, including BBQ meats, rolls, plates, cups, napkins, utensils, and bottled water. Members should bring their own soft drinks (alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the park), a ready-to-serve side dish to share, and folding chairs. THE FUN Lake Julian Park offers disc golf, outdoor games, a playground, paddle boats, and water access along a picturesque 300-acre public lake. A sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits are available for use on a first-come basis. Volleyballs and horseshoes can be checked out at no charge with proof of a driver’s license. An 18-basket disc golf course is located throughout the perimeter of the park. Feel free to bring any yard games (cornhole, bean bag toss, ring toss, tug-of-war, etc.) you may have on hand.  More details to come.
