Region 3 will host a presentation by Michael Kreisberg, MGA’s Senior Director of Member Experience, on the findings of the 2020 Member Segmentation Survey. Here is a description of the program: Every four years, Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) undertakes a comprehensive study of IEEE members.  The most recent survey was collected in late 2019 (pre-pandemic) from approximately 12,000 members and student members across the globe.  In the survey, the satisfaction, values and intentions of our members were updated and compared with previous survey results.  Additionally, the study looked at similarities and differences across a number of demographic, geographic and behavioral indicators, creating seven unique segments that can help us bring more effective communication, marketing and volunteering opportunities to our members.  Michael Kreisberg, MGA’s Senior Director of Member Experience will present the 2020 findings, diving down into specific Region 3 highlights.  This presentation is interesting to us volunteers on two levels. First, it is a very useful opportunity to gain insight into what IEEE members report they are looking for from IEEE.  Awareness of this can help us better serve them.  For that reason, I hope that each of you will try to attend.  Second, it is an opportunity for members to learn more about the professional community that they are a part of.  As such, this virtual meeting hosted by the R3 Section Support Community (R3-SSC) is an opportunity for you to facilitate a virtual section event offered to your members.
