The IEEE Region 3 Outstanding Young Professional Award is a new award for Region 3 that will be given annually to promote, recognize and support contributions from young professional members within the Region. Summary: This award recognizes leadership in service, education, innovation, entrepreneurship or in furthering the goals of the IEEE Young Professionals. Eligible candidates must be IEEE Young Professionals in Region 3 at the time of the nomination deadline. The winner of this award is presented with a plaque.  One award will be presented annually.

Eligibility: The nominee must be an IEEE Young Professional in Region 3 at the time of the nomination deadline.  The nominee cannot be the current Region 3 Director or Director-Elect.  The nominee cannot be a member of the Region 3 ARC.  The nominee can only be considered for one Region 3 award category in a given year.  The nominee must have BOTH been a member (any grade) of IEEE and resided in Region 3 for at least the two years immediately preceding the deadline for nominations.
